This is another fantasy you persist in, that the pre-1900 Democratic Party was the same Democratic Party post-1920 or so. The truth is, most of the slave-loving Democrats of the pre-1900 era moved over to the Republican Party by 1920 or so. Disgusted Lincoln Republicans then moved to the Democratic Party to take advantage of the power shift.
These facts are not what you adhere to.
Facts are facts, until you think you can gain advantage by twisting them. Granted, Libertarians are better at "twisting facts for profit" than the Republicans but the Repubs learn fast and are right behind them in this regard.
