However, the regimes do not like the US one little bit. They weigh up the pros and cons of intervention versus what they think Iran might do and what they think they can get out of which situation.
They're generally not very nice regimes. That's why the West should not be dealing with them (Saddam, Saudi-Arabia, Pakistan, to name a few).
