“A new strain of flu that has the potential to become a pandemic has been identified in China by scientists.
It emerged recently and is carried by pigs, but can infect humans, they say.
The researchers are concerned that it could mutate further so that it can spread easily from person to person, and trigger a global outbreak.”

How cool would that be? A second pandemic in one year!

Hahahaha

Oh.

Right.

Oh well...
I think it's time to all start eating veggie burgers.

I love a good disaster movie.
And playing in the real deal is only cooler.
I should have hopped on Hale-Bopp when I had the chance

Lets do exactly what happened with COVID all over again...great idea. genetically modify it to infect human tissue from infected human tissue in a lab so we can "develop a vaccine". But instead of doing that, well just release it "accidentally" after we have helped it along in its viral evolution.

Have you read some of the posts in this forum?

I can only presume some folk have evolved into pigs.
Those pigs are actually Republicans.

A flu pandemic is always something of a concern. The last one was in 2009, and it was especially nasty because it actually targeted younger people.

But let's not lose our heads. The potential for a bad flu season is not the end of the world.

This blog that came out today has a lot of facts about G4 EA H1N1 and related viruses. But it, too, makes clear that there is no need for panic -- at least, no more than usual.

How dare you tell people not to panic!

Panic is our constitutional right... and duty.

People develop a herd immunity to panic after awhile.

What are you babbling about?

Gretta says we only have 12 more years to live!

And Covid should cut that in half unless you stay at home hiding under your bed with a mask on.

Yeah, me too. Speaking as a cancer survivor, I think a positive attitude really does help. Flex that field!

Plus, garlic beats flu.
