You might be. The hardworking, resilient and honorable would do very well. Lots of oppressed groups would be freed of their oppression (affirmitive action, illegal drugs/gambling/prostitution/suicide, selective service maybe, right to bear arms upheld, less federal power, etc).

Ouch!

I surely hope your 'oppressed' enjoy their day in the sun, because it will amount to little more than a day, as all these little Nero's watch the smoke of their cities on fire rise to blot out the sun.

Maybe those who do not want to work. 😉 But he rest of us will be better off.

Edit: Oh, I see AThousandYoung has said that already. I'm glad he agrees. 🙂

How are you possibly connecting Nero with libertarianism?

I'm enjoying mine. I'm considering buying one of those houses that you guys defaulted on. I don't even need Ron Paul. I just need to play the game you guys set up. It's always funny to know the other guy's game better than he does. It's like using the Bible to embarrass Bible thumpers.

For example, I'm going to a Jesuit school with a highly Marxist tendency while working in possibly the most liberal and socialist industry on the planet! And guess what? I smell opportunity...

I mean...my kids never heard the word ambition before. They all know intimately what ambition is, but nobody ever taught them the word. Ambition is one of those words that feels subtly frowned upon in education.

Because of all these people who don't understand ambition and drive for one's own self-satisfaction, profit and glory, there's no way in Hell they can compete with me. And guess what?

They can't keep teachers more than three years. I WONDER WHY?

I'm fascinated by how the poor are taught different things than the rich, and the teachers etc. telling them actually think it's for their own good, as protection against the rich or something.

Oh nothing direct and literal other than one so locked into their own smug space blissfully fiddling away while the rest of the world around them burns to the ground.

the liberals have to play up how badly the economy is doing so they can get their guy in the white house. that's all it is.

look at all the doom and gloom on the news. we're not even in a recession! how many people would get that idea from the MSM?! headlines about "Recession! Recession!" then you look in the fine print and it's "practically in recession" or "the upcoming recession".

the "foreclosure crisis" has 1 pct of homes facing foreclosure, not foreclosed, and it's not everywhere, mostly in hot housing markets.

i know a guy who walked away from 15 houses in arizona. he flipped one, made a profit, flipped a few more, made more profit, kept on with that, then when the surplus hit he couldn't sell any of them for what he paid for them, and couldn't rent them.

here is an article on the foreclosure crisis (link below). only 10 states are at 1% or above foreclosure rate. arizona, california, colorado, florida, georgia, illinois, indiana, michigan, nevada, ohio. most or all of these are in hot housing markets.

should the rest of the country bail out these people?

Don't worry you'll eventually be normalized into teaching liberation theology in some first world nation soon. Most of the third world's already done.

My ego's too big.

When we had to say why we went into teaching in my "how to teach 101" class this last Saturday, my first response was "the money" but then I realized I can't say that, I need to speak from the heart, that's the socially acceptable thing to do, so I did.

I told about the crime, and the race riots, and the creationist biology teachers, and all the other horrors in the land that I love and how I was going to fix all this idiocy.

I probably shouldn't have said that either.

Too self involved to notice you are just like everybody else? That's real subtle normalization for you. So well homogenized into thinking you are different to be blind to the possibility that selfishness is a universal human trait.

Ah its just a mind block technique to keep us functioning as a myriad array organism. Apparently when all the buffers are removed, the flux of all the shared interconnectedness flowing into the temporal capacitor, tends to overload the subjective matrix such that it saturates objective cognition leading to an irreversible fracture of the id.

Its hidden so deep into our machine code and its protected by so many simultaneously redundant sub routines, that the secret of it will never be revealed.

The fact that you are either laughing or snoring or generally not receptive to my apparent overflow of jargon makes me suspect that the truth can never be revealed.
