Only the Roman Catholic church teaches that you can't use a condom; that is not a universal feature of Christianity. I know many GLBT people who consider themselves to be good Catholics in addition to (and not in spite of) their sexual orientation. Actually, now that I think about it, I think their main base is on a boat. Pushing them to the sea wouldn't get rid of them.

If you don't read the Bible then you don't know what's in it. If your point is that all religions have some components that the rest of the world thinks is weird, then you're right. But it's easy to disregard your opinion when you write things based on vague memories and hearsay.
