They condemn Trump's tax proposals without knowing what they are, then are told about Bernie's plan and LOVE it........
Imagine their surprise when they are then told that it is actually what Trump has proposed.

Same goes with things Trump has said, when they are told Obama/Biden said them, they love it....then they find out Trump said it and they get confused. When they are told Trump said something, they hate it and call it racist, etc....then they are told Obama/Biden are the ones that said it and their heads explode.....

I'd say paying 37% is already a pretty big bite if you make over 700K. You think they should pay more?

Yes taxes are too high but necessary to cover Trump's spending. Actually they need to go up because they are over budget again.

Could you at least get the gist of Cliff’s post and give your take on it. It is an undeniable fact, can you explain why you wrote another issue? Or, could you tell us WHY you did not respond?

The number should equal out what the government spends. If trump wants to add $200 billion to the budget to pay huge salaries for ICE agents then he should ask his MAGA friends to pay higher taxes.

Let's say I want to put in a pool, but I don't have the money. The money needs to come from somewhere.

Trump wants to spend $200 billion on ice, but his govt is already way in debt. You want your grandkids to pay that $200 billion?

Why does Wgrass avoid a question where we simply hypothicate a percentage, to toss around for discussion-sake?
CA income tax is13.1%, sales tax 8%, other about 5% according to Chat.
So if a millionaire pays that PLUS 57%, that is a total of about 80% of his millio dollars
He would pay $800,000, and have $200,000 left to live on. Bernie actually says the man should be able to live nicely on 200,000.
So whether that is good, bad or indifferent, is what would be up for discussion. I would like for wild grass to tell me if 57% would a fair fed tax. On the one hand, he and Bernie think it is, to Go where the money is”.
On the other hand, as a sensible man, he knows that would not work. So I would think he would respond to this paragraph. Thank you very much.
