...but contributin' to global warming!
People who believe they have the greenest lifestyles can be seen as some of the main culprits behind global warming, says a team of researchers, who claim that many ideas about sustainable living are a myth.
According to the researchers, people who regularly recycle rubbish and save energy at home are also the most likely to take frequent long-haul flights abroad. The carbon emissions from such flights can swamp the green savings made at home, the researchers claim.

so recycling is a cause for long-haul flights? just because some rich a-holes think if they recycle enough they are entitled to driving a hummer doesn't mean we shouldn't recycle or that greens are hypocrites. hypocrites are hypocrites and not green.
but then again you probably know that already but you must make a thread quota or satan will swallow your soul.
"this is Chewbacca, a wookie from Kashyik who lives on Endor. That doesn't make any sense".

Are you suggesting that these people to should stop recycling or stop taking long haul flights?
Sometimes I wonder if you are jut being simple or as is more likely the case, you´re a mouth piece for some propaganda department somewhere.

That does not make sense! Why would a Wookiee -- an eight-foot-
tall Wookiee -- want to live on Endor with a bunch of two-foot-tall
Ewoks?

(Warning: Its South Park, so there's bad language. God I love South Park. I can't wait to see what they do with this bailout fiasco.)

Wait a minute. That's your point, isn't it! You've been promoting ignorance as the answer to almost every problem you address in these forums.

- Global warming is a reality and mankind has been contributing to it;
- Carbon emissions are a serious concern;
- Green lifestyles help but we must take care to not offset them by other leisure activities, like travelling for example.
It's great to see he's finally admitting some facts about this.
