Boris found guilty of lying to the Queen!

Sentence?
Fine?
or "Off with his head"?

New elections were already not far off, but now the question is: will Johnson be taking the Tories into that election?

@divegeester
Seriously - aren't there repercussions for breaking the law?

(Ignorance of the law is never an excuse for the common man.)

You think decisions like this are made in a vacuum. There would have been a team of lawyers working on it. Might even be appealed yet, it's an example of how convoluted and mired 'law' has become.

But hey, you're a state worshipper, we just need more of it.

What "appeal" is there beyond the UK's supreme court?

Fair point.

But I think my original point stands, that this decision was not made lightly and a team of people would have looked at all scenarios, and especially the legality of the decision. At this level people don't do things and just hope no-one notices.

wolfgang reveals his naivety and his poor understanding with his OP.

It's called a Supreme Court for a reason.
No appeals, no taking it to the House of Lords.

-Removed-
The decision to advise Her Majesty to prorogue Parliament was unlawful
Lady Hale

You will have to ask her for more details but I'll take her word for it.

Yes, I already conceded this to soothfast, message received, noted, aknowledged.

Now when are we going to hear a retraction from ewe about this so called 'lie' you accuse Johnson of in the OP.

And here I thought it was the law for the Parliament to carry out the will of the people by exiting Brexit.

Pfft.

No.
No such law.
