He has been criticized for almost a year AFTER a jet a company his wife owned sold a jet. That's "persistent" according to Merriam-Webster.

You will resort to anything to avoid admitting you are wrong. You already posted the defintion of "persistent" and they didn't sell the plane long ago enough for it to be a "persistent" lie and you know it. It was the persistent truth for how many years?
