It's really close but with 100% of precincts reporting Democratic candidate Andy Beshear holds a 5,150 vote lead over Republican Governor Matt Bevin in deep red Kentucky.https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/11/05/us/elections/results-kentucky-governor-general-election.html

Trump's been campaigning there regularly and yesterday screeched:

""Here's the story," Trump told thousand of supporters ahead of Tuesday's election. "If you win, they are going to make it like, ho hum. And if you lose, they are going to say Trump suffered the greatest defeat in the history of the world. You can't let that happen to me!"

Looks like the ungrateful SOBs did.

Meanwhile, "Trump urged Virginia voters via Twitter to use Tuesday’s election to “send a signal to D.C.” by supporting candidates who support gun rights, lower taxes and other GOP priorities."

They got his message and sent a "signal to DC":

"Virginia Democrats continued their winning streak under President Trump on Tuesday and took full control of the statehouse for the first time in more than two decades.

Suburban voters turned out in big numbers to back Democratic candidates, continuing a trend of once GOP-friendly suburbs turning blue. This is the third election in a row in which Democrats made significant gains since Trump was elected."

As an aside:

"A Virginia woman who was fired after flipping off President Trump's motorcade in 2017 turned her political frustrations into action, winning a local election on Tuesday.

Juli Briskman won a seat on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, beating the incumbent Republican in her district. With 99% of precincts reporting results, she captured 52.4% of the vote."

I'm starting to love politics again.
