An interesting proposal, given that Bavaria is technically not Germany but a self-declared free state (Bavaria never signed the German Grundgesetz). So, has Bavaria got something to offer, apart from BMWs and Oktoberfest?

A few Bavarian politcians have tried to become chancellor (Strauss and Stoiber come to mind). And my gradfather stems from Bavaria, so I fear to be deported to that place :=0
