Obama is better than "anything": he is the right man at the right time. He faces tough times, but is up to the challenge.

My fellow citizens
TODAY I SAY TO YOU

THESE CHALLENGES WILL BE MET

ON THIS DAY WE CHOOSE HOPE

THE TIME HAS COME TO PUT AWAY CHILDISH THINGS

ALL DESERVE A CHANCE TO PURSUE THEIR FULL MEASURE OF HAPPINESS

FOR US THEY TOILED AND SUFFERED THE LASH AND FOUGHT AND DIED

THEY SAW AMERICA AS BIGGER THAN THE SUM OF OUR AMBITIONS

OUR MINDS NO LESS INVENTIVE

PICK OURSELVES UP DUST OURSELVES OFF AND START ALL OVER AGAIN

WE WILL RESTORE SCIENCE TO ITS RIGHTFUL PLACE

WE WILL MEET THE DEMANDS OF A NEW AGE

NECESSITY TO COURAGE

DOES IT WORK

YES WE GO NO WE DONT

THE MARKET CAN SPIN OUT OF CONTROL

THE MARKET MUST SUPPORT THE REACH OF OUR PROSPERITY

OUR FREEDOM IS NOT NEGOTIABLE

WE WILL NOT GIVE UP OUR FREEDOM FOR EXPEDIENCY SAKE

WE ARE READY TO LEAD ONCE MORE

OUR POWER ALONE CANNOT PROTECT US

OUR SECURITY FLOWS FROM THE JUSTICE OF OUR CAUSE

TO THE TERRORISTS OUR SPIRIT IS STRONGER WE WILL OUTLAST YOU
AND WE WILL DEFEAT YOU

THE LINES OF TRIBES WILL GROW SMALLER

TO THE MUSLIM NATIONS YOUR PEOPLE WILL JUDGE YOU ON WHAT YOU CAN BUILD, NOT ON WHAT YOU CAN DESTROY

THE WORLD HAS CHANGED AND WE MUST CHANGE WITH IT

WE HONOUR THEM BECAUSE THEY EMBODY THE SPIRIT OF SERVICE

THIS SPIRIT MUST INHABIT US ALL

OUR CHALLENGES MAY BE NEW

WHAT IS REQUIRED IS A NEW ERA OF RESPONSIBILITY

WITH HOPE AND VIRTUE LET US TAKE FREEDOM AND HAND IT SAFELY OVER TO FUTURE GENERATIONS

Whoever the hell wrote that deserves an award. Its at moments like these that I wish I was born American.

A beautiful oratory indeed.

Whoever was not inspired by that should double-check to see if they have a soul or a heart.

I hope President Bush had an interpreter nearby to help him with some of those tricky words and phrases.

As with McCain's Concession speech--two of the most important speeches of the twenty-first century in America.

I too am, at times, inspired by populism.

Well, at least I am confident he will do better than George W.

I'm watching Obama walking through the streets right now and I don't remember anyone cheering for a president like that in my lifetime. Bush(s), Clinton, Reagan, Carter, Nixon, LBJ - I've never seen inaugural crowd reactions like this. It's a great time to be American and I get the sense that he won't squander this opportunity the way Bush did after 9/11.
