Apparently Rep. Michael Grimm from New York has admitted to tax evasion. It now seems possible that he may see jail time.

I thought the head of the IRS evaded taxes as well as another Congressman Obama tried to appoint. Why did they not go to jail? I just assumed that no one in the federal government paid their taxes and it was considered to be OK.

Even so, if he does go to jail, can he will be a Congressman?
