Drug testing wasn't introduced at the Olympics until 1980, we can safely say that Bruce Jenner, along with every other gold medalist and probably every medalist at the 1976 Olympics was using some sort of performance enhancing drugs. From what I've read it's quite widely known he was a steroid user.

I would say no. Steroids are essentially testosterone, testosterone is the male hormone. I don't see how taking a male hormone is going to make someone female. I don't believe Bruce Jenner's body 'malfunctioned in later life', Bruce Jenner would have know something was different much, much earlier in his life.

It would seem that if YOU can post this on a chess site, that everybody should know that Michelle Robinson used to be Michael Robinson.

That is a lie. No one even suspected such a thing let alone be well known. But it is suspected that Michelle Obama is a transgender person and many even say he is a man.
