For the first time since Iowa, we really have a dead heat going into a big contest. For a few hours last night, 538 had the odds in MI at exactly a 50-50 split.

Say what you like about the US nominating process, you just can't beat it for excitement and suspense.

My prediction:

Romney 38%
Santorum 36%
Paul who cares?*
Gingrich who cares?**

* other than possibly MB and whodey

** other than Newt's mom

When all is said and done, and in the long run, Obama will run out winner.

I predict that Santorum's recent popularity (as with Paul's and Gingrich's, not too long ago) is doomed to be short-lived, Romney's propaganda machine will dish out some unfavorable ads about his most extremist stances or something to that effect, severely crippling his chances with the majority of Republicans who just want to take back the White House. Romney will end up being the nominee, and the whole Republican race spectacle is really just a manifestation of an internal struggle within the party which is already resolved, they're only coming to terms with it.

Richie Mitt will likely narrowly edge out Santorum in Michigan by (again) the skin of his swizzle-stick-sized dick, as I predicted over two weeks ago. Doubtless he's been carpet-bombing all opposition with infinite megabucks just like he did in Florida, and probably found ten more sides to his mouth to talk out of to promise everyone the moon, the stars, and all the galaxies beyond. He's shape-shifting scum that blows with the wind.

I predict Ron Paul will get a clue and learn Chicago style politics. People will rise from their graves to vote, double agent union members will rig voting machines to automatically vote Ron Paul, and Bloggo will be paid a fee to oversee his appointment as the nominee.

Mwahahahahaha!!

The most well funded candidate won. Should we be surprised?

Will be interesting if ultimately a brokered convention.

I just have to think that Romney is going to secure the nomination. And except for sometimes effective negative ads, he is not a good campaigner. And with Romney as the nominee, it wouldn't suprise me to see lower voter turn-out amongst Republicans in the general election. In any case, while the independents and swing voters who decide the general election may not be overly happy with the President, they dislike him less than they do Romney. Four more years.

Lastly, I have yet to figure out why the Republican party could not put a viable candidate, expecially when the sitting Democrat president is vulnerable. Maybe the potential viable candidates were just to turned-off to run in the party as now strongly influenced by the TP, far right-wingers, and christian fundamentalists.

Not too much. However, I've seen animatronic puppets at Chuck E. Cheese that emote better than Richie Mitt does during a victory speech.

Despite all his millions and the fact that his primary opponent is a foaming theocratic lunatic, Mitt only barely squeaked by in his home state. If that doesn't spell pathetic backwards and forwards I don't know what does. He's perfect for the GOP. I hope he chooses Uncle Pennybags as his running mate.

I guess I now understand the love people like you have for Obama. Everytime he writes and Executive Order or goes to war without consulting anyone but the UN etc., you probably have to change your panties at least 4 times a day.

Of course, once Obama leaves office there will need to be an addiction hotline to help people like you.
