A company exists to make money. Period. I read that in microeconomics class somewhere.
At the higher levels, companies play legal games to get money. They say they're opposed to bailouts and such, but if it's permitted by the government, even if encouraged by lobbyists, well then the companies are obligated to try to get that money, because th ...[text shortened]... .well, then it should be utilized for company profits. Because that's what companies do.

Democrats don't filibuster everything.

In the article, it traces successful filibusters from both parties. The Democrats own 63 and the GOP owns 89 between the years 1991-2008.

One of the items that would vanish would be a little thing called the U.S. military -- and brother, without the massive backdoor state subsidies of heavy industries that the bloated military budget has tucked discreetly in its ledgers, the U.S. will collapse not only militarily (a good thing) but economically (a bad thing). I've often said the military budget needs to be cut by three quarters, but on days when I'm more detail-oriented I hasten to add that a fair chunk of the savings would have to be directed toward infrastructure modernization and R&D, because the only reason why most U.S. manufacturing and technology companies are competitive with state-subsidized European and Asian companies is because our companies are also state-subsidized (only less directly).
Cold turkey is the only way. No, no tax increases. No, no more money but what you currently take in. Live within your means. If that hurts for awhile -- well, you brought it on yourself. If people want to vote you out of office because of it, you have no one but yourself to blame. Learn to take responsibility.

Minnesotans support it. Its not a problem. Take your santimonious bs and stick it.
A percentage of Minnesotans might support it. Now if it were a private enterprise you'd be able to say "Those that support the zoo, support the zoo." Moral, right and just.

So as you dispise bigotry and hatred so do you dispise the GOP?
Is this a joke?
As for the difference between the two party's, do tell, what are they?
I think it would behoove the American people to force both paties to stop the wars abroad, both increase taxes and decrease spending, and stop this foolish demogogary that one party is good and the o ...[text shortened]... us? Personally, I think this is why you see the "get the vote out" campaign by both partys.
At least half of it I retract.
