you're an idiot

do you think it's some kind of joke that a passenger jet had to alter its approach at JFK airport to avoid a drone?

Hahaha Hohoho
That is not a joke. Hence that drones near airports and no-fly zones in Europe are dispatched with.

You can’t have drones interfering with rescue helicopters, for example. Full fvcking stop.

You yanks are the idiots with your republicans shooting down very sensible bills. How the hell can you not be allowed to track bloody drones???

I can't say why the bill was shot down, but it is likely to do with how much fat was built into the bill.

The democrats got too much, or the republicans not enough. Things happen for a reason

It would seem, to me, completely unworkable to add things to bills.

But hey, it isn’t my taxes which are being wastes, whilst drone enthousiasts create dangerous situations.

Kirby said many of the drones were operating legally and lawfully.

How do they know that? Is there a GPS on every drone to determine that?
The military must be flying them to know that. Biden must know they are all military operated drones.

Nothing to see here....move along.

Why does Biden shoot down balloons and not drones?

https://www.defense.gov/News/News-Stories/Article/Article/3288543/f-22-safely-shoots-down-chinese-spy-balloon-off-south-carolina-coast/

Did the military account for every single drone in the sky? Is there a GPS on every single drone? How did they rule out a Chinese drone? I would like to know.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) said Tuesday he believes some of the unidentified craft are “spy drones” from China.

“We need to identify who is behind these drones,” he said. “My judgment based on my experience is that those that are over our military sites are adversarial and most likely are coming from the People’s Republic of China.”

In Southern California, drones were reported over Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in recent days.

It looks like this was all to get GPS on every drone sold in the USA. That way our military can take out any unauthorized drone in the air. I'll bet the military has drones that can net smaller drones to examine them.

Drones are the future. They will be everywhere some day. Tighter regulation of them is inevitable. This latest publicity is to rush the process because it is important to defense.

In a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Leavitt said the drones spotted over New Jersey and New York in December had been authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration for "research purposes."

Now the obvious question. What kind of research? And why was it a secret?

Not worried because you were confident they were not a threat?
Okay, but are you at least curious what "research" these drones were doing? You have to admit that is a non answer. I can do the same thing to avoid a question. MB, what were you and that woman you met on the street doing in your van for a half hour. We were doing research.

Why the fark is everyone satisfied with that answer? Did you all consume too much fluoride? Let's say later we find out those drones were used to spy on people in their homes using wifi or infrared. They will just say "that was the research we were doing". Just like I was doing sex research with that woman in my van.

See? Nobody lied. The FAA was doing spy research and I was doing sex research, so don't spend energy worrying about it.
