Have looked at the list, what makes a "new" wonder I wonder (poor pun I know)...
I'd say culture impact, history and effect on viewing.
Some of the choices are in my view not worth while.
For example, cana statue ever be considered a wonder ?
What do you think ?
😀😀😀😀😀
Hmm I see your point, to begin with a thought a statue how can t be a wonder we (i.e. mankind) built it. But then the pyramids in Egypt are man made.
As for criteria of a wonder I can see how a statue can have cultural impact, history and effect on viewing.
Take for example the Statue of Liberty that has had a world wide impact. For generations ago that statue in a tiny little country (Ireland) so far away was hope. It represented the chance of work, the chance of a life free from political or religious discrimination. I wonder what the statue means to the average American, are there any feeling other that Patronism evoked.
On another note the Great Wall of China has alot of history surely.
Was that in the running? What was the Giant's Causeway not, I wonder?
