Right wingers? Are the justices on the Supreme Court right wingers now?

    🙄

It's not hard to understand how SCOTUS will rule. It will continue to rule in favor of both a centralized federal government and the government created mini-government corporations that give them the money to hold power.

You tell me, whodey. Why should a "conservative" county be forced to adopt the policies of a "socialist" state? Why should a "socialist" living in a "conservative" county be forced to adopt the county's "conservative" ways?

Name me one right winger who thinks that Citizens United was a bad idea and has joined with Bernie Sanders in supporting a Constitutional amendment to reverse its pernicious effects.

You could add Hobby Lobby to the cases where right wingers were jubilant that the SCOTUS gave Natural Rights to artificial entities.

In both those case, the SCOTUS ruled against the Federal government and in favor of corporations.

EDIT: A majority of the United States Senate has voted to advance a constitutional amendment to restore the ability of Congress and the states to establish campaign fundraising and spending rules with an eye toward preventing billionaires and corporations from buying election.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fifty-four senators, all Democrats and independents who caucus with the Democrats, voted Thursday for the amendment to clarify in the Constitution that Congress and the states have the authority to do what they did for a century before activist judges began intervening on behalf of wealthy donors and corporations: enact meaningful campaign finance rules and regulations.

But forty-two senators, all Republicans, voted no. As a result, Udall noted, the Republican minority was able to “filibuster this measure and instead choose to support a broken system that prioritizes corporations and billionaires over regular voters.”

Some county's are as big as former states, so I would not object.

Why do you continually bring up the "right" wing? Who gives a damn about the GOP?

What have they done for state rights? Nothing, that's what.

That's why the GOP is in love with Trump. He will just come in and kick some heads around and "get things done". American elections have come down to voting for the most benevolent dictator.

You wouldn't object? But this whole time you have been saying that federal power should be devolved to the states, not that state or federal power should be devolved to counties.

The bottom line is that power needs to be decentralized. At least returning power back to the states would be a good beginning.

How "decentralized" should which powers be and why?

Not without decentralizing private economic power as well.
