Surely you meant to say people dressed as gravel collectors, bird catchers and farmers pose a threat to the security of Israel.

That instantly reminded me of this comment by an Israeli general (chief of staff):

"When we have settled the land, all the Arabs will be able to do about it
will be to scurry around like drugged cockroaches in a bottle."

"Israel compelled its indigenous non-Jewish citizens to carry an identity card in
which their nationality was listed neither as Israeli nor Palestinian, but as Arab."
--Shlomo Sand (The Invention of the Jewish People, p. 8)

"The Israeli authorities quickly abrogated his questionable citizenship. They never
forgot that the cheeky poet (Mahmoud Darwish) was the first Arab in Israel to issue
his own identity card (a poem), when he wasn't supposed to have an identity at all.
--Shlomo Sand (The Invention of the Jewish People, p. 9)

"Why are we (Palestinians) always told that we cannot solve our problem without
solving the existential anxiety of the Israelis and their supporters who have ignored
our very existence for decades in our own homeland?"
    --Mahmoud Darwish

"I will continue to humanise even the enemy. The first teacher who taught me
Hebrew was a Jew. The first love affair in my life was with a Jewish girl. The
first judge who sent me to prison was a Jewish woman. So from the beginning,
I didn't see Jews as devils or angels but as human beings."
    --Mahmoud Darwish
