so, since you know so much, tell me what about the bible makes it fiction?
i'm dying to hear, because I know that anything you could say can be refuted...
also, you are refering to a VERY SMALL population of priests who have commited such acts, and trying to use those few as repr ...[text shortened]... exuality, but that we should love the sinner, the homosexual...
so gay bashing is incorrect...

just because i'm sick and tired of trying to beat the truth into people doesn't mean i'll stop...
it would be unChristianly to give up defending God's word...

so, roughly speaking 70%... so i was 10% out, you're completely missing the point, that's still 70% of the world's population that says you're wrong
a lot of that 70 (67) percent figure may not be blatantly denying Jesus, they may have just been led astray or follow local pagan practices...
since you want to play that way, i might as well bring this up, though it has no relevence whatsoever...
what religion do you follow again?
how many people on earth agree with you?
how many don't?
that's what I thought...
Christianity is still the largest religion on earth...
and that's some REALLY good news...

And a lot of the 30 or so percent of Christians may not actually be Christian at all. For example, I am a church member, so I would probably be counted as Christian, but I am not.

how about you prove to me any text within the bible is true... come on, lets hear it... proof based on scientific proof not faith...

what happens if you have a son and he grows up gay..? do you disown him..? that's it... you cut your ties with your son all because a book tells you to..?

what of other religions, other beliefs... islam, buddhism, hin ...[text shortened]... e you feel you ought to live, then get back to me and we'll have a proper debate about this
firstly, most people generally believe that Jesus exixted, whether they believe he was the Son of God as I do is a different story, but back on focus, i am sying that most people believe that a man named Jesus did exist and he founded a religion in Israel...
a lot of the information historians get about jesus comes from the Bible...
not because these historians are christian, as some of them aren't...
but because almost all historians respect the Bible as being entirely historically accurate from front to end (on the historical matters... the super natural the historians can not pay attention to)
the Bible was composed on eyewittness accounts...
Jesus sermon on the mount... really happened
Jesus feeding 5000 men, it happened...
whether or not you believe that Jesus did this feeding through the power of God depends on your faith (or the lack thereof)... but it happened...
these extremely accurate eyewittness accounts therefore, should be trusted when they depict Jesus performing miracles.., such as healing the sick... which was documented by Jewish (non-Christian) officials as actually happening...
Why would the Sanhedron record something that didn't happen about a man they opposed (remember, it was the Sanhedron that sent Jesus to his death)
by the way, his crucifiction...
it happened...
his abcense of the tomb three days later with a heavy guard of Roman soldiers around a huge stone... it happened...

i have proven my case...
you prove yours...
where is there fault in the bible?
you should never reply to this last question unless you just really want to be wrong...

that was the Catholic Church while the Church was under HEAVY influence of the medieval nobles and kings...
that was a dark period of corruption, and is no longer occurring...
don't try to plague my religion with atrocities (mistakes) commited back then...

but you have still based your entire historical knowledge on one book... can you see my point here... yes, jesus did live, this is true... we have roman documentation to prove that a man did live who claimed to be the son of god, also, we have roman and jewish documentation that states he was married, it also says nothing about miracles.. historians have agreed the only place we find evidence of jesus performing miracles is within the bible... biased?

but if the Bible was written by the same eyewittnesses that agree with jewish and roman ducumentation throughout,
then why can't their sayings of miracles also carry credibility in the eyes of the non-believer?
also, the bible's claims to miracles are coincidal with the claims in the Q'uran which wasn't written for a nother millenium-ish
the Q'uran regards Jesus as a prophet who performed miracles and healed those in need...
can't we take those two boks and say that the claims are credible now?

the Buddhists also, i believe, regarded Jesus as a prophet, though i am not sure of their stance on his miracle performing...

You wuss.

You're no proper believer.

Fire in this life is nothing compared to the hellfire that awaits you in the next.

Where did you get that number from? How was it determined? If you look for statistics for Norway, the number of Christians you get will normally be the number of people who are a member of a Christian church (most of them are members of the State Church). That will give you a figure of around 90%. If you ask people if they personally identify as Christians, you'll only get about 10%.

what, exactly, do you know about my beliefs in God?
don't make such claims without fact...
and what could possibly lead you to the belief that I am going to hell?
