LOL! Oh my! Well I read their "Statement of Principals" and damn near passed out. Who the hell are these people to impose "American principals" on any other country? This is nonsense. The writers of this thing aren't Republicans, they're a bunch of arrogant, busy bodies that feel they have the right to impose their principals on other countries and cultures. Real Republicans, Democrats, and certainly Libertarians would be ashamed to be associated with this type of agenda.

Maybe we should clean up our own backyard before we invade our neighbors and try to clean up theirs?

The Project for a New American Century is a Neocon think tank created in 1997 by William Kristol, editor of the right-wing magazine the Weekly Standard among others. They've been pushing for war against Iraq and occupation of chunks of the Middle East since Day One. Alumuni include: Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz. What ever happened to those guys?

Well that's certainly frightening. You're always a fresh, cool breeze bearing good news aren't ya Marauder? Sort of like opening the windows to a lovely spring morn...

Why is it every time I hear the names Wolfowitz and Rumsfeld the word "invasion" appears somewhere nearby?

And those two guys should never be involved in anything called a "think tank".

Simply amazing. I read a couple of articles. Here's an eye opener from a document titled "Rebuilding America's Defenses". 4 main points. And damned if they don't all sound familiar. The document was published in 2000. I'm amazed at the gall of these people to actually say any of this nonsense out loud. There's only one point in there I can agree with:

"ESTABLISH FOUR CORE MISSIONS for U.S. military forces:
* defend the American homeland;
* fight and decisively win multiple, simultaneous major theater wars;
* perform the "constabulary" duties associated with shaping the security environment incritical regions;
* transform U.S. forces to exploit the “revolution in military affairs;"

Who the hell votes for these wack jobs? They WANT war! They NEED war. It's part of their strategy for controlling the damn world.

It's hard to believe the people that wrote that are Americans. My God we're regressing under the leadership and advice of these morons.

The whole document is frightening. If anyone else wants to read it, here it is.

Meh. Given all the talk of an American empire by its detractors, it's only fair that the US has a bona fide imperialist faction.

I don't think they can do anything more than taunt Iran, if they attack oil prices will soar above $100 a barrel, that will ruin the stock market as well as economies worldwide, such as China, India, and the U.S. itself. And if China gets pissed... well, use your imaginations...

Zimbabwe is currently having a little problem with oil. Nobody trusts its government with money anymore, so there is no petrol at the moment: none. Some people walk up to 25km to work...Still, life--and business--continues. One man is doing very good business selling bicycles to firms who want to help their employees get to work. The bicycles are manufactured in Iran...
