Actually it isn't God causing the collapse of the US, it is the US self destructing with ungodly self centered people. The prophecy was just a warning.

The GOP has systematically ignored their entire base on pretty much every issue.

What did they expect?

My guess is that if Trump wins they will all be Dims within 4 years.
