The post that was quoted here has been removedMchill forgot to mention what would appeal most to right-wing white Americans
about Nordic societies: whiter people.
Mchill did not "forget" that at all. Mchill deliberately omitted the subject because Mchill feels the subject of race has been debated ad nauseam in these forums, and would prefer to discuss something else-
@averagejoe1 saidYes. The US juggernaut continues to be driven by liberal minded people.
What do they do there, anyway? Anything other than be so happy? I sorta like living in a country that is winning the space race. Do the Nordics race anything other than ice-skates? Why would any USA poster of liberal persuasion want to be like Norway?
Sorry, don't mean to ruffle feathers.
Basic guideline I use.
Liberals think outside the box.
Conservatives think straight and narrow.
I wonder if Trump supporters openly congratulate someone like Jeff Bezos.
I know Trump probably won't. He's still using people like Bezos, Gates, Zuckerberg to rail against the elites and wind up the Trumpskulls at his rallies.

@mghrn55 saidConservatives, as we drive the train on down the tracks, often have to stop and pick up liberals who have been outside the box just a little too long. Have you noticed what liberals do? Hey, the statue of R E Lee in VA that they brought down ( I was at work that day, and fired one of the teardown guys who worked for me). That statue is now being moved to a little town in North Carolina to stand outside the post office for all to see.

The post that was quoted here has been removedYou folks always look back, when the future is the deal. I dont know what your comment actually means. I am also awaiting your response about the color of the hair in China for 89% of the citizens. It would help us in zeroing in on the multicultural situation in China, as the usa citizens have ALL colors of hair up and down the street. So what is the most prevalent color, and who has it?
I would never want to live in a country which has no freedom and liberty. I myself am ASTOUNDED at the posters here who care not for liberty and freedom.
As you champion China, we know how you feel about it.
The post that was quoted here has been removedYou sure purport to know why we think things. For one thing, i have never seen the ‘white’ factor listed as a reason for not being like Norway. Dont get you there.
And your statement above about better education??? I am told that Finland has NO private schools or colleges. My children and grandchildren attend private schools, obviously to get a non-government education. Would you rather your children go to public, or to private, schools? You see, i cant live in Finland. A good reason, dont you think?

Public schools always.
Conveniently left out of your post is the fact that Finland has the best education system in the world. Please read link (If you can)

@averagejoe1 saidJust like Ayn Rand - who collected $11,000 of social security payments in the last eight years of her life, and presumably spent them.
The Nanny-state thing. More than one of you received checks from the government and actually spent it.
@teinosuke saidBut that was money which she had paid into the SSA, to be later paid to her in old age? Am I missing something here? What are you comparing her expenditures of SS money to ?
