When society as represented by this forum seems to be going nuts, I am reminded of the following. Part of me is comforted by the realization that we are not that bad off; the rest is worried that we are not that bad off yet.
“The Salem witch trials were a series of hearings and prosecutions of people accused of witchcraft in colonial Massachusetts between February 1692 and May 1693. More than 200 people were accused, 19 of whom were found guilty and executed by hanging (14 women and 5 men). One other man, Giles Corey, was crushed to death for refusing to plead, and at least five people died in jail. It was the deadliest witch hunt in the history of colonial North America. - wikipedia
@patzering saidJust to be clear, I’m not pointing at the fine people on any particular issue or side.
Good example.
The left is like those people back then.
Screaming and yelling and accusations.
@earl-of-trumps saidSo do you believe that the other side is sincere but is massively deluded about Trump, or do you think they know better and are faking their belief? Or does this matter to you?
And I'll ditto it
Edit: I ask this of anyone on either side.
@js357 saidI really think it is a little of both. Some of it is theatrics like blaming Trump for the Puerto Rico hurricane, and other stuff, but boy do they show real anger!

There is no doubt it is hate based.
