In fact, nowhere in Leviticus 18 is being stoned to death even mentioned. Leviticus, in addition to Deuteronomy and part of Exodus, is the larger part of Mosaic Law, the laws given to the Hebrews by Moses. Mosaic Law is for Jews only, not for Gentiles and not for Christians.
Advocating stoning as "part of God's perfect law" is only heard from the far-right in this country. Even the Jews don't advocate it. Even Jesus said, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." No Christian, supposed or otherwise, should be advocating stoning.
It seems that maybe Kirk is the one who needed to "crack open a Bible". Just sayin'.
