From the link below:

"Global spending on nuclear weapons increased by 11 percent in 2024 compared to the year before, surpassing $100 billion, or $190,151 every minute.
As Statista's Anna Fleck reports, this is according to the latest report by the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN).

More than half of this was by the United States, which spent $56.8 billion"

Why is the USA spending so much on nukes? Does somebody intend on using them? And why does it say Israel spent 1.1 billion on nukes when they do not even admit to having nukes?

Apparently MAD (mutually assured destruction) is a load of BS. My government is preparing for a nuclear war. Why else would they increase the number of nukes so much?

Calm down sir. It's not cheap to modernize an aging arsenal and maintain a credible deterrent.

Are you claiming all they are doing is replacing the old with the new?
Apparently you didn't look at the amount of money spent. Read the link.
Look how little Russia spent on theirs compared to the USA.

The math doesn't add up to merely modernize and maintain.
