Fact is, prosperity is what makes conditions keep improving, and when the union "wins" a shorter working week this comes at a cost somewhere else, i.e. reduced base rate, reduced medical, etc, the union does not create anything except another layer of parasites.
It is why we see such desperate moves as compulsory membership and efforts to shut down any voices of dissent.
