Ephesians 1:5-8 KJV
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; 8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
Nyxie what does verse 5 have in it adoption good see it?
You should Read The Purpose Driven Life by: Rick Warren. It is an excellent book for Christian growth. I like Chapter 15.
The very first sentence in the book qoutes "It's not about you."
Those people who are satanic are not God children, the lost are not God's Children either.
Originally posted by RBHILLRBHILL is correct. There are people who will forever equate denying God with intelligence and go to their graves unsaved. Woe unto them when they meet Him that is worthy of praise!

RB, how come the lost are not God's children when Jesus said he came into this world for the lost?
Picture it as Jesus being at the adoption agency trying to adopt us all. But some of us look upon Him and scorn Him, even though He offers us love and protection and to deny Him means loneliness and pain.

Originally posted by DarfiusI'm still confused. I guess it just runs contrary to my theology. When you say God offers us protection what does that mean? Does he protect us from others, ourselves? I am living proof that he does neither. Oh yes, I am a Christian.

But isn't there a difference between being a Christian and being lucky?
And to your question about protection, I mean He protects us from both the wrath to come and protects us from the evil one and hell.
Originally posted by DarfiusWell said, non-believer don't understand and they think that we think we are better then they are when we are all sinners but we are the lucky ones who are saved.
