The is from politico.com and it is spot on. The failed "underwear bomber" situation is virtually identical to that of the "shoe bomber" back in December of 2001.
A short clip from the article:
Eight years ago, a terrorist bomber’s attempt to blow up a transatlantic airliner was thwarted by a group of passengers, an incident that revealed some gaping holes in airline security just a few months after the attacks of Sept. 11. But it was six days before President George W. Bush, then on vacation, made any public remarks about the so-called shoe bomber, Richard Reid, and there were virtually no complaints from the press or any opposition Democrats that his response was sluggish or inadequate.
That stands in sharp contrast to the withering criticism President Barack Obama has received from Republicans and some in the press for his reaction to Friday’s incident on a Northwest Airlines flight heading for Detroit.
And you can read the entire thing here:

What the author doesn't talk about is how the Republicans have also been criticizing Obama for dealing with this guy through the civilian court system. You know, kind of like how the Bush administration did with Richard Reid (the shoe bomber) who is now serving a life sentence.
Frankly the way the Republicans constantly politicize terrorism is disgusting.

However, when the same haapened when Obama was in office, all you heard were crickets chirping. Now that the tables have turned, all I hear is crying from Obama groupies like yourself who only know how to debate by insulting their opponents. I guess the honeymoon is over, eh?
Don't worry, I wasn't expecting an intelligent response from someone who doesn't even know how the US Senate operates.

I apologize. I guess I should have followed your fine example when you elevated the discourse by posting the little crying face. Now you're going whine about insults? LOL! Oh the irony. Please keep posting.

This is your source? Who wrote this?

I follow politics very closely and I do not recall Bush taking a beating over flu vaccines, and certainly not from big names. I'll look it up myself and I will say anyone who blamed Bush personally is silly.
That being said we have big names like former VP Dick Cheney and former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge (and many others) blasting Obama for A: how long it took him to issue a statement (quicker than Bush) and B: treating the perpetrator like a criminal (just like they did).
We already have a direct comparison with the shoe bomber and Bush was not blasted. No politicians from the left nor was anyone from the "liberal media" taking pop shots at him.
