We hear time after time people wanting and sometimes getting exemptions to opt out of Obamacare. However, the biggest joke of all are those who forced it down our throats and then opted out themselves.

Who here defends this action?

Also, how has Congress defended this decision, or do they even give a damn?

Does the congress give a damn ? The President ? Hell no. They dont have to deal w/it. It wont affect them.
Only the people/families who live pay check to pay check struggling to stay in the midle class.
It will and is hurting them immensely.

The President doesn't even give a damn how badly it harms his party. All the exemptions are going to people who once they feel the pain will start blaming him. But he'll be a lame duck or already gone.

Just like "W", once they can no longer win another election they leave a trail of destruction behind.

Boy I hate progressives.

I guess I have to preach to the choir because none of the Obama dead heads will come out and defend Congress for opting out of Obamacare.

Can't say I blame them.

Does it bother you that people with jobs opt out of food stamps?

Not sure what you are talking about. The exchanges were never really intended for people already having medical insurance as part of their compensation with their employer, such as Congress and millions of other Americans. The provisions of the ACA do not apply to you if you already have medical insurance.

For those already with medical insurance, the provisions of ACA effectively do not apply.

Note also you do not have to obtain medical insurance through the exchanges (which are private insurance companies by the way), unless the private insurance companies will not directly insure you.

In all, what is clear, you are perfectly free to opt out of obtaining medical insurance through the exchanges and instead obtain medical insurance elsewhere, or do not obtain medical insurance at all and just pay the $95 tax.

I am glad that the freeloaders who can afford medical insurance but do not obtain medical insurance, and thus we pay for their emergency medical care, will now be required to obtain medical insurance or at least pay a tax.

This was the idea behind the conservative personal responsibility movement that Romneycare implemented. It was acceptable, until Obama liked it.

Yeah the original idea came from the conservative Heritage Foundation. And then they decided they didn't like it when President Obama embraced it.

Your comment really makes no sense. You expose your ignorance by making such a comment. The government already gives those in Congress money for health insurance.
