Just another way to destroy traditional American institutions (as if marriage needed to be undercut more).

So they got married for the sake of health insurance and now they'll get divorced because of the changes?

It was incentive for divorce for a couple whose only reason for being married was health insurance. How unimpressive and unsurprising.

But don't mind me, please continue your panics about the institution of marriage being destroyed.

I guess the people who get divorced to save a few bucks (assuming the story is true) didn't value the institution of marriage very much in the first place.

You believe there is nothing wrong with the government to punish people financially for getting married?

So the government isn't punishing people for getting married because the insurance used to benefit people who were married. Nice reasoning. Wow you can rationalize anything.

The family is under attack. Now most left/right extremists believe your children are property of the state.

There certainly is. In a nationalized health care system, such issues cannot arise (again, assuming the story is true).

You should be in a comic book.

That Harvard piece of trash on MSNBC - Melissa Harris-Perry, is that right? - argued exactly your point. Kids belong to the state. It's breathtaking. I just wish ordinary Americans would watch more MSNBC. No Democrat would ever win an election again.

Your post make no sense at all. I know several married couples who divorce and remarry depending on their tax situation, and they've been doing this since the days of Ronald Reagan (gasp!!), I know it's fun to paint President Obama as the great Satan, but please try to include at least a tiny bit of logic in your posts. 😞

Folks, let's not distort things here. The only thing Melissa Harris-Perry was trying to get accross was that children are citizens of this country and members of their neighborhood communities, just like we all are. Please try to restrain your leaps of illogic.

Wow, you see that the government at times comes up with policies that punish people financially for getting married and have no problem with it.

Wow, just wow.
