Will Obama be able to implement his plans and realise his policy of change? Will he be strong enough politically ? Will his opponents have the power to stonewall his plans ? How will they proceed if they can ? What do you think ?

Since this ideology broke down, I expect to see another way of thinking which does not raise the market to an idolatrous level, but in which government and regulation have their necessary place.
I think I particularly like the sound of this one
-it is a pity that this basic principle is very slowly, quietly and unofficially being abandoned in the UK.

For the US to be in good hands is just the first step towards addressing these global issues.
I think it means making America viewed worldwide as the good guys again, but that will be hard on the debates column if it happens. What will we argue about then?
Naturally, whichever countries are most powerful in the world are more likely to be a focus of attention that needs discussion. Sometimes, countries which are more powerful can become arrogant and selfish, and the US should be deeply proud of having voted to turn away from the path of arrogance and selfishness. That's arguably much better than the British Empire ever did when they had the world's power.

Originally posted by whodeySo no matter what Obama does, if it turns out to be a failure it is all GW's fault.
All I can say is that any potential future failures for Obama can be directly attributable to "W" and/or the remaining Republicans in Congress.
I can see this working for the next year or so, but in four years I don't think it will stick.
