That is the entire point. Posts can be unanswered for a number of reasons. Some just don't make sense, as in my example. Nevertheless, you did answer it. No post is unanswerable, it's a matter of choice every time whether or not someone chooses to answer.

101 in writing scientifically is to remove all ambiguity from a statement. If you leave ambiguity, people won't get your point. Many derivations could be (and were) made from your original post.
