You didn't have a subject in that rant. Surely I need to know WHAT you are talking about? Try again.

It's like I have hit upon a "ticklish" subject here. Problem is I have no idea what it is. 😕 I really have no idea what you are on about.

Can you give examples? That might be best.
Here's an example: Thread 69546

Ok.

JOHNNY MUNKHAMMAR is Director at Timbro, a free-market institute in Stockholm, Sweden.

What does this have to do with AMERICAN media?

So what if he's not American, where do you think DSR found it?

Nobody knows who Johnny-libertarian is.

So you are saying that it is wrong for news organizations to pass on information? Isn't that their sole purpose?

I am really lost here.

Did I miss something? Is this as simple as the thread you passed me seems to indicate? A petty argument about "my dad can beat up your dad" kind of thing involving whose economy is best?

If that is it, then.... BORING! Economy has less meaning than just about everything when it comes to real life and happiness.

I think that I need to let you know that I am just pulling your chain a bit. See my thread on Most Complicated People.

George Kennan understood why America needed to do it's thing then get out of Europe. He understood the European psyche almost perfectly. This was judged true by Clement Atlee, Churchill and Charles De Gaule. To state the sentiment in a brief moment, he (Kennan) often quoted Martin Van Buren who said "America will go anywhere to help democracy; but we will not slay other peoples dragons for them."

I think that the US has lost sight of this in recent years and it is why Europe dis-trusts the US so much at this time. We are seen as crusading dragon slayers.

My take is that it is a bit more complicated than when NATIONS were the enemy. We are just having to face -- for the first time in human history -- the scourge of INDIVIDUALS taking it upon themselves to bring down entire civilizations and cultures by the application of unlimited brutality.

So forgive me if I pull your chain a bit. I know what America SHOULD BE in the eyes of the world. I'm just not sure that we can be that anymore.

We are timidly going where NO ONE has gone before. There are no international laws to deal with quasi-governmental terrorists. How do you treat them when you capture them? Are they soldiers? Are they criminals? Are they freedom fighters? Are they entitled to their actions based on "freedom of conscience" dictated by their religious conscience? It seems to me that the world needs to pull its collective head out of the sand and define what is acceptable behaviour and what is not acceptable. So far... it is a desert. (pardon the pun)

Reminds me of a cartoon I saw about 40 years ago: Patient in a psychiatrist's office is talking to the secretary, secretary says " Dr. Jones thinks you're suffering from a personality disorder, but his collegue, Dr. smith, thinks that you're just an a$$hole">
All kinds of excuses for poor behaviour.

Which excuse do you prefer for yourself? You need at least one.

Man......what is it with you, Star? Have I wronged you in some way? Have I ever insulted you or been rude?

If you can't be civil then go someplace else. I'm going to complain to the admin about your behaviour if you keep acting like a jerk.

Find another target for your childish outbursts.

Your first post in the other thread just pissed me off. No biggy.

Are you saying that I need to be perfect, or leave? That seems a bit uppity.

(edit) I missed the part about running to mama for help if I don't cross the street when you walk home from school. Envision the battle line as Brave Heart prepares his troops for battle. And I don't wear anyting under the kilt.

I rest my case. You're being abrasive for no good reason, we're done here. If you want to converse, stop acting like a petulant child. I will waste no more time with you.

I have a very good reason for being abrasive. I don't like you.

I don't want to converse. I want to make fun of you killing retards and thinking yourself a hero for doing it.

You have killed some retards haven't you?
