Who has the official death totals? I see lots of them out there, yet which numbers are official? Seems to me the only official numbers in the US come from the CDC.

Pneumonia 91,405
I suppose some would claim to know more than the experts.
Even CDC reports 98,261 as of yesterday.

You told Suzianne, that she was wrong, and you implied at least that the 78,000 soething were the numners for today, which they aren't. If we do comparisons we give the dates. So we can look up Duchess thread for numbers six weeks past and compare to the offical count for that date, then we can draw a meaningful conclusion.
The CDC gives also provisional numbers, that have not the officla status, but are much faster accesible. Of course we will see a bit of discussion if all the "pneunomia" cases wehre Covid-19 or if some of the CoVID-19 will "only have accelerated some death.
The question is what is your point and intention? Just be clear once.
You create thread after thread inw hich you put up numbers from different sources, you never stay with anything you wrote for truth the other day.
So did you or didn't you expect to have a "mild flu"
Then did you or didn't you write that a flu costs 15000 to 60,000 death pera year and you expect at the lower end.
Did you or didn't you said "always" it will be 60'000 death.
Will you concede the 100'000 in four weeks time, when they become "official" numbers?

What is getting hyped? Covid.
What is causing just as many deaths, perhaps more? Pneumonia.
Nobody would care anymore about the covid death numbers as the pneumonia, if it was not hyped by the government and media.
Why were you surprised that I was concerned with official counts when in fact I put official count in the title of the thread?
