I hope it goes up to $10 per gallon. Maybe then I'll be able to fit my car into a parking space again without being surrounded by the Armored Fighting Vehicles that Americans have taken to driving.

My heart goes out to the big rig drivers though. Especially the independent drivers. Gas costs are gonna break those folks.

Be nice wib, some people can't afford to drive anything but what they own.

I remember in 2000 when gore was running against bush, that the talk on the debate shows and even around here locally everyone was saying that gore would hurt gas prices and that bush would be better for the oil economy. Noone remembers ever stating these oppinions when I question them now.

They don't have to own a tank though. 🙂

Besides, if they can afford a gas hogging, 4000 pound, 4 wheel drive vehicle, they can afford to trade it in and buy something cheaper.

Maybe, just maybe gas prices will rise so high that we'll actually get serious about alternative energy. That's my hope. Relieving our country of its' dependence on oil and gas would certainly give us fewer reasons to stick our noses into the Middle East.

And then maybe, just maybe, a little more peace in the world?

Heh, I have been seceretly hoping gas prices sky rocket as well. I know this is unpopular (my wallet is beating me as we speak) but what is it they say? Necessity is the mother of invention?

I'm ready to see some invention!!

I'm soooo happy about the high oil prices, secretly, I cheer whenever it goes up, those who whine about it, are just stuck up spoiled richlings. Hopefully it will lead to cleaner energy, because capitalists are greedy, and the only way they will care about the environment is unless it will help them economicly, not only that, the tax money the government makes off these rich idiots (who complain about the products price yet STILL buy it) will go to wonderful social programs, deminishing the gap beteewn rich and poor, god has shown he wants us to become communist, what ya think of that Ivanhoe?

Oh, I understand how society right now, as we know it, works, that doesn't mean I have to like it, agree with it, or will flourish within it. Maybe one day you will learn independant thinking, until then, grownups like me will have to tolerate you.

Maybe I will learn independent thinking one day. Until then, I'll stick to what I know - playing inside the rules and making money. Gas prices don't hurt me, momo. Sure - I think we can and should do better. But I don't sweat it. Because with my bank account I don't have to. You, you ramen-eating, non-bathing, mad-at-the-world anti-everything ...[text shortened]... m me and give it to someone else? Why is someone else allowed to stick their hand in my wallet?
Fisting classes? Why didn't they have that kind of stuff when I was in school?! 🙂
