When Trump praises murderous dictators, like Duterte, Kim Jong-Un, Putin, and maintains a personal business relationship with Saudi
Arabia, even after they murdered a journalist...is this merely "orange man bad"?
Trump was forced to pay $25 million for scamming people with a fake "university"––is that merely "orange man bad"?
The list goes on: Trump
- obstructing justice by ignoring congressional subpoenas and ordering others to do the same
- siding with Putin on live TV over U.S. Intelligence
- leaking classified information behind closed doors to Russian diplomats
- abandoning America's Kurdish allies in a war
And on and on.
I've noticed "Orange man bad" is a condescending way of trying to deflect and minimize such criticisms of Trump. Conservatives: what is a legitimate criticism of Trump, then? What criticism of Trump does NOT fall into "orange man bad"?

I heard some of this speech last night and Trump can barely read from a script. It's embarrassing to listen to him every time he's live.
@vivify saidI quite agree sir, but as I stated in an earlier post: "The flock will always be loyal" It's very difficult to reason with people who've intertwined religion and politics. In the eyes of Trump supporters, he'll never be anything less than an angel of God, sent to rescue our fine Christian nation from the teeth of monstrous, socialist Liberals who never work, hate God, murder babies, want free stuff, and love Satan. Never mind that it's all a lie. That's the mantra that's been preached by Conservative media for decades, and they'll believe nothing else.

His team are clearly trying to keep him on message and getting him to read stuff out to camera instead of rambling on like he often does.
@divegeester saidI understand the pressure the speech writers are under at this moment. Trump often lie when he goes off script, he starts mumbling like a moron, and he shows his lack of political acumen when he tries to brag about meetings that are normal in crisis situations. At the same time time the speech cannot use too difficult words and must praise Trump in some way. On the other hand the Corona subject is a very hard one. Americans are dying, it's still spreading and everyone (who follow the news just a little bit) know that Trump's first, second, and third responses have made it worse. On top of that the situation changes from hour to hour. How do you write a good speech under these conditions and get Trump to stick to it?
