He doesn't get much love from our fanatical right wingers here, but Hatch was one of the Senators who was most supportive of the Reagan agenda in the 1980s. Orrin Hatch always looks like he is a senile old man escaped from the asylum not knowing where he is or how he got there. He is the poster boy for why you need term limits.

Why is he retiring? Everyone knows once in Congress you stay there till you die.

Incidentally, I say John McCain kicks the arse of the Grim Reaper. There is no way he is leaving Congress.

I pity the fool.
