If an armed soldier enters a chicken’s home wanting to attack it, it fights him even though it is just a chicken.”

Originally posted by Bosse de NageRight now Osama is hiding behind the Pakistani government. He knows that is the government comes after him that it would make the government that much more unstable and could possibly be toppled at that point. He also knows the US dare not poke its head in where it is not welcomed because the Pakistani government has nukes. Make one wrong move and who knows what will happen. Yea, he's got it made in the shade. It might get interesting what would happen if Osama is able to topple the Pakistani government. Obama during the presidential campaign has already made the vow to go in and take out Pakistan if this happens.
Perhaps suicide bombing is the ultimate game of chicken.
Originally posted by Bosse de NageTo be honest it is not so much about Osama as it is the movement he created. Its like saying once they killed Christ his cause died with him. That simply is not the case and is perhaps why there has not been a greater effort to go after him.
Are you certain he's alive?
Originally posted by whodeyInteresting to cast Christ as a terrorist. The Romans certainly went after him.

I think Islamic militants--doesn't that sound more correct than 'Muslim terrorists'?--are more of a threat to the populations of the country housing them than the USA, and the Great Satan is a convenient image to galvanise the mindless. But so it goes. Whether the terrorists exist or not, they will always be there.
Originally posted by Bosse de NageI was not meaning to compare Christ to Osams, however, I think Christ was a terrorist in terms of his relation to the kingdom of darkness. That is if you believe such a thing.

As far as glibly saying, "You will always have terrorists", one is tempted to just forget about them and say that nothing can be done. However, if you ignore them what happens? It is the negative consequences of ignoring them that must be gaurded against. Perhaps you think there are no consequences and we should not actively engage them?
