There are naieve / cowardly politicians from all parties afraid to state anything but 'Islam is a religion of peace'. Equally, there are perspicacious politicians from both sides willing to state the blinking obvious viz: 'Islam is anything but a religion of peace'.
Don't blame any particular party. Blame wishy-washy liberals who stupidly believe that anti-Islamists are akin to Nazis and accuse them of being bigots. They are not - they see the danger.
