Our Last Best Hope....

As I see it there is just far too much money involved in elections. All elections, but especially National , and even more especially, Presidential elections, are decided by the deep pocketed Corporate donations---Especially since 'The Citizens United' decision.---My comments aren't aimed at Republicans, Democrats, Progressives. Conservatives, Skinheads or Communists....This message is meant for everyone, and is aimed at the American Common Sense' that I believe we all have. American know how, if you will....The only people who have access are people of wealth, this is nothing new, but these huge multi-national corporations can influence elections, more than ever, not just by donations, but by messaging pro or anti sentiment to a particular bill or law that they happen to like or dislike. There were hundreds of medical and big pharma lobbyists when they debated Obama's 'Affordable Care Act' as there was when George W. Bush pushed through 'Medicare Part C (?)' which as Ted Kennedy said at the time, ''It's better than nothing.'' I don't want go on too long overstating the obvious because, mostly, some folks will be in favor of a particular piece of legislation, while others will oppose it. Good men may differ. HERE IS MY POINT; THE MONEY HAS JUST TOO MUCH INFLUENCE ON THE BILLS THAT DO GET PASSED....Trump hasn't paid taxes in 20 years, all completely legal, because THEY WROTE THE LAWS ! The only way to achieve a government system that works for the people is to eliminate all political donations for all elected offices! From school board to The presidency. We must go with public funded elections for one and all. I see this as the only way to save the republic and truly achieve,''EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER THE LAW.''
