Much as I'd hate to break up your little double-act taking delight in Palestinians killing each other, I think you'll find that this isn't a fight between Hamas and Fatah.
The phrase 'Official Fatah units did not get involved in the fighting...' being a bit of a clue.
Originally posted by MerkI'm not disputing that Hamas was involved. Of course they were.

Not sure I agree they're still fighting a civil war though.
But this isn't a breach of the truce, despite what your thread title might suggest.

The truce between Hamas and Fatah hasn't been breached.
I think there's going to be some degree of fighting for a while, if nothing else until scores are settled etc.
I don't think this affects the stability of the truce or the government.
Originally posted by RedmikeBut hasn't that ALWAYS been one of the larger problems in the Middle East as a whole? The scores are never settled.

How can anyone have a truce (much less peace) when each "score" must be settled, and in some cases "upped" by the other side?
Sorry to wander into a larger topic here, but I believe the incident in the first post is a perfect example of why the larger problem of violence in the Mid East never goes away. They're constantly picking at their sores....

All I'm saying is that this isn't a break-down of the truce between Hamas and Fatah.
This might be Hamas settling a score, but not with Fatah.
