@Rajk999 saidOf course any individual case is a tragedy but parents can't watch children for their entire lives. So an 18 yo kid goes I am going to the park, mom goes NOT WITHOUT ME YOU ARE.
This is a case where a 7 year old kid was killed on the road he was trying to cross. Clearly there was no hovering. So maybe there should have been a bit more of this helicopter parenting going on until the kid became a bit more aware.
Is that what you think is a great way to raise children?
@sonhouse saidYou are such a damn idiot. The dead kid was 7, and dead because of irresponsible parents. What stupid question are you asking about an 18 yr old adult?

@Rajk999 saidMaybe the person who should have "accepted responsibility" and been charged should have been the driver who killed the kid, not the parents who sent two kids (the 7 year old wasn't "unsupervised:; he was with his older sibling) to a nearby store.
A clear case of irresponsible parenting, plus blame shifting subsequent to the accident. Parents will know their local environment and should take the required precaution. Every environment and also every child is different. City kids, suburban kids, country kids, forest kids, beach kids, all grow up differently. Some gifted kids are automatically street smart and need li ...[text shortened]... US, nobody accepts responsibility, and nobody takes blame but try as best as they can to pass it on.
@no1marauder saidThe 10 yr old should be with like a 13 yr old. The 7 yr old should be home, or out only with an adult. So yes.
What makes the parents "irresponsible"? Sending two kids to a store a short distance away?
That's ridiculous.
@no1marauder saidDepends on the situation. You cannot blame the driver until you see some video of the event. The parents are definitely irresponsible for sending out a 7 yr old without proper adult supervision. A 10 yr old is not an adult, and not able to control anything. The parents were damn stupid and stop making excuses for them.

@Rajk999 saidI was making a point about helicopter parents, they don't stop at age 7, they keep at it for years where it stifles the development of children into adulthood.

If I heard it right the small child did have an older child with him so why would that kid not be a better brother and keep him out of harms way?
A girl gymnast doing a routine in HS falls off the bars and breaks her neck and dies instantly, who is at fault? The parents? The teachers? Should they have been holding her hands for that routine, rope tied around her tummy?
And I did not hear a FKING WORD about the hundreds of Palestinian children murdered by armed Israeli soldiers at a food table.
CHILDREN with no Hamas anywhere nearby, just fun target practice.
Why don't you rail about THEM, eh? Oh, I forgot, they were those sub humans who should be living in caves.
Accept some of those sub humans were my personal friends.
I LIVED there for 4 years and had friends on both sides the tweed.
And it is clear the GOVERNMENT is not the voice of the people, the government now wants to totally rush into the heart of Gaza and totally rule those people and they claim, not permanently, SURE I believe that, don't you?
NetanYAHOO is further right than Ghengis Khan and used the terrible Hamas attack to wipe out an excuse to wipe out an entire population.
@no1marauder saidFool .. it depends on what happened. If a child ran on to a street and is killed it is quite often the fault of the parent or guardian.

@Rajk999 saidYou're a judgmental idiot; having a 10 year old watch a 7 year old for a short period of time is perfectly normal behavior that 99% of parents do.

Not seeing a child in the road is "irresponsible behavior".
@no1marauder saidA$$hole ... a 10 yr old is watching a 7 year old on the f..king busy street? If that is normal in your country then youall are truly sick over there.

One died and here you are making stupid excuses, and that is why more of your stupid people will die. Stupidity is a killer
