Can someone tell me the difference?? Young folks have special loans, including VA loans, available when they start their lives and families. But then, Covid hits, lose jobs, inflation and gas are killers. (literally). So NOW we are talking Need! Why not pay off those loans??
Which of the debtors are in the most need? Guys who borrow money for college and have college degrees??, Or, young people with no college and an FHA loan,, or the military solders who have VA loans that they cannot pay?
@averagejoe1 saidThis is a tough one, one of those bed-wetting moments. How does one answer this!?!?

@averagejoe1 saidGREAT idea! Let's do it and put YOUR name on the bill. Hey, it was your idea.

You do realize there are folks out there with a degree already but are working on a more advanced degree and still need financial help?
Maybe you hadn't put THAT into your sinister calculus.
What about the part that when I was a kid, an 18 YO going to Palomar College and the tuition was a few hundred bucks.
Why not scream about the PRESENT cost of the same college and the rest of them around the country?
Other rich countries get by quite well with zero or near zero tuition, so why can't the US do the same?
If that happened there would be no NEED for arguments about student loans.
@suzianne saidOh, are you being silly. Is it not a good question ? Why don't you weigh in on it.

Curious indeed. Then we have Marauder saying the discussions about $600B cost of tuition forgiveness is no cost at all, even though that is all you hear about on the news, all networks.
@sonhouse saidYou ought to do a thread on it. This particular thread is about FHA home loans, though.

If we cover the loans of people who graduated college with fantastic degrees which will make them successful (able to pay back loans), then why not pay off mtg loans of people who are about to lose their homes?
