@averagejoe1 saidShe is holding back the Impeachment report from the Senate until the Senate trial rules are set and agreed upon by both sides. In addition President Trump is still blocking key witnesses from testifying, and ignoring Congressional subpoenas for records, though Democrats already have enough of both. A trial is not a trial without evidence and witnesses.
Oh, the hypocrisy. She is holding back the Impeachment Report from the Senate until the Senate Does What She Wants.
Comments? Don’t all answer at once!
You really don't know much - do you?
@mchill saidNo, maybe i don't....but is she guilty of Quid Pro Quo, or is she not guilty of Quid Pro Quo?. Yes, you are right i am sure, I really dont know much. Is today Sunday?? But, why can't libs answer a simple question.

@averagejoe1 saidWhat would Pelosi be "guilty" of exactly if we describe the current situation as "quid pro quo"?
Why is it nonsense? Can you at least tell us why that would not qualify as quid pro quo...you can do this
@mchill saidthat's bullshat machil. learn the process.

The senate cannot proceed with making rules for an impeachment until the articles of impeachment have actually been served to them. then, they act
Quite trying to cover up for deliberate and suspicious procrastinator. Pelosi is wrong, period.
@earl-of-trumps saidSome things are so obvious that they are unbelievable......esp the the shallow-brained libs!!!!! π !!!!!!!~~~~
Pelosi: Charged with dereliction of duty, charged with obstruction of justice, charged with Contempt of the Constitution and defiance of the House's and people's will.
TREASON.
@kazetnagorra said" a favor for a favor'.....one is contingent on the other. Like y'all accuse Trump of doing. Pelosi is saying she will hand over the report (one favor,,,it is a favor, (one reason because Trump, et alreally want this to go forth and wrap up) for a favor, that of making the Senate process be exactly like Pelosi (a member of the House, not the Senate).wants it to be. Kazet you are a smart boy, you may be a lawyer!! So, why can you not ever, once, say, now this is a good point. Yep, looks like Pelosi is doing just what w accuse Donald of. Why can't you do that? Dont align yourself with the McHills of the world!!! Never-give-up-McHill!!

To answer your question, she would be guilty of that which you accuse Donald of,. Quid Pro Quo, which is not acceptable in these governmental matters.

@averagejoe1 saidThe problem with what Trump did is not that it is called "quid pro quo" but that it is illegal under U.S. law to solicit help winning an election from foreigners, moreover, as a president he should be acting in the country's interests, not in his personal interest.

@kazetnagorra saidLet’s say that is a good point. But this thread is Pelosi. She can be proven to be asking a favor a favor. Let’s drop the Latin phrase.

Now here we go. Is Pelosi OK to ask a favor for a favor which is not provided for in this process? Whew. Libs.
@mchill saidI'm from the UK; I know a little from researcheing the Clinton and Nixon impeachments. Trump has held out on witnesses under a well established pricincipal of executive privilege.

In addition President Trump is still blocking key witnesses from testifying, and ignoring Congressional subpoenas for records, though Democrats already have enough of both. Irrespective of whether or not you regard Trump guilty (I have good friends in each camp), the territory the Dems have strayed into with their approach to this issue is to make the president an office for the pleasure of Congress as opposed to the pleasure of The People.
The unfortunate truth (and we get this crap in the UK too) is that politics is tribal to the point of losing objectivity. So if it's your team it's automatically OK and if it's the other team they are automatically bad. If you look at the Clinton footage still on youtube then it's quite clear that the very things Pelosi demanded (in my view correctly) for Clinton, are the things that the Republicans are demanding for Trump.
If the Dems wanted more witnesses then the correct place to amass them is in Congress, and if they are having trouble getting them they should address their frustration through the courts.
