I think it is fair to say that those states that received more seats were heavily democratic.

The Pew article that you apparently never looked at tosses cold water on your claims that there are a disproportionate amount of "unauthorized immigrants" in Democratic States. Here's the six highest:

So two red States had the biggest increase, a blue State - Oregon - had the smallest and the other group are a mishmash. What they do have in common is they are rather heavily populated States, so it's hardly surprising immigrants would move to them (often to join existing family).

I don't know how it shook out exactly in 2020 but I remember both Texas and Florida gaining seats while many blue states like California lost seats.
