It is a sad comment on our society. This took place in one of the most liberal and richest states in the union, Connecticut. How could such a liberal state produce people like this?

Dumb people exist everywhere.

Here in The Netherlands one of the biggest department stores has recently gone bankrupt because people had stopped going there for a long time. Last Friday the various stores across the country had a sale to get rid of all the stuff that had been gathering dust over many years. It did and did not surprise me to find out that various "customers" (who all of a sudden showed up at the various stores again, after possibly not having been there for many years) ended up literally fighting with each other over crap that they apparently all needed.

I just shake my head and congratulate myself on not being such a dumbass.

This would not have happened 50 years ago.

Society has been "transformed".

Of course, liberals get all giddy inside with such language. They think we are lab rats.

Can you cite a "liberal" saying or implying that "we" (who?) are "lab rats"?

Liberals, Progressives, fascists, whatever you want to call them, all seem hell bent on "transforming" society instead of simply maintaining a civil society and letting people live their own lives.

I think you are just getting a bit old and are hell-bent on finding enemies everywhere. Societies evolve, sometimes for better, sometimes for worse, and long before "liberals" were around to supposedly "transform" them.

When conservatives protest gay marriage, is that letting people "live their own lives"?

No, gay marriage is diverging from how paradise was 50 years ago and change is bad, mmmkay.

Funny how the topic changes to gay marriage. Next think you know someone will start posting about rape.

Does "letting them live their own lives" include denying them basic human rights?
