Just out of curiosity, does anyone have a running tab on the number of bail outs to date since the credit crisis? I think it is being done piecemeal intentionally. For example, imagine the public response towards the Congress asking for say 5 trillion dollars compared to only $700 billion. I think the initial outrage and shock over bail outs has subsided after the first big one to the point that now people are almost numb to it. It kinda reminds me of the frenzied spending habits of the US government. A million here, a billion there, who really cares anymore?
