I have been watching youtube videos about Antarctica that I found interesting like this one.



Many of these videos claim the Piri Reis map has an accurate map of the coast of Antarctica before Antarctica was officially discovered. Has this claim been verified as fact?

I think that it has been disproven. There may be an Antarctic continent ("Australia" ) shown there but it was completely hypothetical and without any correct coastal details.

It hasn’t been green for millions of years. What I saw was ancient civilizations did it and were passed down or discovered. Not sure how that would work out probably a hoax like you said. They might have been creating a mental picture of it green while looking at high and low points and coastlines frozen.

Did you take a look at the actual map?

You will find Europe to the upper right, and the Americas to the left. The presicision of the map is well for the time, but not sensational. The antarctis is mainly a decorated limit of the map. Show me (by description) any geographical feature of Australia or Antarctica.
